Iron Man officially returns in a new Marvel series announced over the weekend.
The Marvel universe is blessed with fantastical heroes that have been with us from our childhood, all the way to adulthood, with names such as Spider-Man, Thor, Wolverine and more having the burden of saving our planet (and universe) on more than one occasion.
The same can be said for its many amazing villains like Doctor Doom, Thanos, Galactus and so forth. Well, they’re more about destroying planets, rather than saving them for whatever twisted motives they may have.
One other hero that has saved our planet (and universe) on more than one occasion is the charismatic Tony Stark, aka Iron Man.

Whether it’s in the comic books, TV series or MCU movies on the silver screen, Iron Man has inspired countless stories across generations and has broken his fair share of hearts, too.
If, like us, you’re a big fan of Iron Man, as reported by ComicBookMovie.com, then you might be pleased to know that a new series based on one of the founding fathers of the Avengers is on the way.
Announced at New York Comic Con during the ‘Marvel’s Next Big Thing Panel’, Iron Man is getting relaunched in a new Marvel Comics series arriving next year.
Iron Man will be written by Joshua Williamson, and the artwork will be created by Carmen Carnero. There will also be a special variant cover created by Adam Kubert.

“The unapologetic Iron Man is a once-in-a-lifetime hero – but the beating heart behind the armour is a once-in-a-century genius. Years ago, Tony Stark was knocking on death’s door, so he created the Iron Man armour to survive!” reads the synopsis of the first issue.

“What happens the next time death comes calling? What weapon does he create then? What if…someone else creates it first? These questions have haunted Tony for years, a ticking time bomb inside of him waiting to explode.
“Femme fatale Madame Masque has also asked these questions, and with the power of Advanced Idea Mechanics behind her…she’s ready to create the next great weapon.”
Excited by the news, Joshua Williamson could not hide his delight when talking about the newest reboot of the iconic character.
"I am a huge Iron Man fan. A massive Iron Man fan, and I knew it was time. I absolutely had to do this,” rejoiced Williamson on the panel.
