Avengers: Doomsday set leak confirms massive X-Men crossover

Judging by this leaked footage, we could be getting a major X-Men crossover in Avengers: Doomsday.

The arrival of Marvel’s X-Men was teased in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which was a first for the MCU after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox in 2019.

We know that Galactus will feature in The Fantastic Four: First Steps and will be voiced by the excellent Ralph Ineson. While appearing in many Marvel Comics stories over the years, Galactus is considered to be an X-Men villain by many, which in itself could be considered a tease.

So with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Deadpool & Wolverine and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, X-Men teases are already well in motion. However, it looks like we’re going to get an unexpected crossover in Avengers: Doomsday.

Before we proceed, please be advised that while not 100% confirmed, we could be venturing into spoiler territory for Avengers: Doomsday.

The Twitter account, MCU Film News, has tweeted a short on-set video as well as a photo (via UnBoxPHD and Reddit), captured from a mobile phone, which suggests that Sentinel’s might appear in Avengers: Doomsday.

Previously, the Sentinels have appeared in X-Men movies before the Disney acquisition and were very prominent in the 2014 movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past.

What role the Sentinels will play in Avengers: Doomsday remains to be seen. There’s a good chance that they may be controlled by Robert Downey Jr’s. Doctor Doom or maybe we could see the return of Magneto. We can only speculate at this time.

For all we could know, they could simply be debris in a very short segment related to multiverse shenanigans. Only time will tell.

Avengers: Doomsday is currently scheduled to be released in cinemas on 1 May 2026. The next MCU movie to arrive is The Fantastic Four: First Steps on 25 July 2025.
