Avengers 6 teases two iconic heroes we've waited years to see team up

The next Avengers film could see two heroes we’ve always wanted to see on screen together finally make our dreams come true.

Since the first Avengers film, the MCU has come a long way.

The grandeur of the tales told, as well as the heroes who make an appearance, has increased as Marvel attempts to dominate the superhero blockbuster market.

However, while surprise cameos we’ve previously missed have happened right under our noses, there’s still two iconic heroes who’ve not been on screen together.

Rumours regarding Avengers: Secret Wars aren’t exactly in short supply. Still, while the speculation mill is working overtime, there’s one recent claim that has us hyped, assuming it’s true.

The Cosmic Circus recently reported that there’s a possibility that both Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman will make a comeback in Secret Wars.

“Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is probably going to be every Marvel fan’s fantasy going into Secret Wars,” started The Cosmic Circus’ Alex Perez.

“And I know that they’re doing everything in their power to make this interaction and more legacy character interactions a reality.”

While promising, it’s important to note that Perez also mentions that for such a team up to happen it needs to be “meaningful”.

This isn’t the only exciting duo we could see come together on the silver screen, though once again, these are only teasers rather than any official confirmation.

Perez makes this clear in no uncertain terms in this report by saying that these claims are “just ideas” being thrown around.

Marvel is a long way off from finalising its plans for Secret Wars and, as such, many plans will be scrapped before it reaches its final product.

But now there’s hope that Maguire and Jackman could star in the same film, it’s going to be hard to put that genie back in the bottle now that the suggestion is out there.
