Legend Of Zelda Movie First Official Look Isn't What We Imagined

Well, it's something at least

After months of speculation, we now know that a live-action movie based on the beloved The Legend of Zelda franchise is now in production with it expected to hit cinemas in 2027.

However, with it still being the very early days of production, not much is known about the highly-anticipated movie other than its leading actors and creators.

First announced back in November 2023, it was revealed that Nintendo and Sony Pictures Entertainment would be teaming up to bring The Legend of Zelda video game franchise to the big screen in a live-action adaptation.

The movie will be directed by Wes Ball, who is most known for his work on Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, and Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto will work as just one of the producers.

On top of that, it was announced earlier this year that Haunting of Bly Manor actor Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Renegade Nell's Bo Bragason will take on the roles of Link and Zelda respectively although the rest of the cast is yet to be revealed.

However, it seems as though the big reveals have not stopped there as eagle-eyed fans have recently noticed a brand-new Twitter account dedicated to The Legend of Zelda.

Simply titled ‘The Legend of Zelda Movie’, the Twitter account does not yet have much of note posted on it, other than reposts regarding production and casting announcements.

However, it is its profile picture that has fans intrigued as it gives us a glimpse at the movie’s first promotional material.

This is the first time that we have seen a unique promotional image for the movie as, up until now, it has just been accompanied by the iconic video game logo for The Legend of Zelda franchise.

It may just be the title in an exclusive font but it is something and with the movie not expected to hit cinemas until 2027, we will take whatever we can get.
