The highly anticipated Harry Potter TV series from HBO has received early high praise from the franchise creator, J. K. Rowling.
The Harry Potter TV series was announced in April 2023, and since then, fans have been wondering whether the HBO reboot will do the novels and the Warner Bros. movies justice.
“The new adaptation will introduce you to a new cast for a new generation of fandom, and will be full of the fantastic detail, much-loved characters and dramatic locations we have loved for over 25 years,” read the announcement on the official Harry Potter website.

“Each season will be authentic to the original books and bring Harry Potter and his incredible adventures to new audiences around the world.”
Until recently, other than knowing it will have a modern setting, which could have an impact on Hogwarts Legacy 2, we’ve known very little about the Harry Potter reboot.
However, the series has recently been taking shape with the likes of the new Dumbledore, Snape, as well as Hagrid and caretaker Finch being cast. More importantly, the new Harry, Hermione and Ron have been confirmed.
The Harry Potter reboot hasn't begun filming yet (that starts soon), but the franchise's controversial creator, J. K. Rowling, has read the scripts for its first two episodes.

“I read the first two episodes of the forthcoming HBO Harry Potter series and they are SO, SO, SO GOOD!” she tweeted.
It’s perhaps worth keeping in mind that J. K. Rowling will likely have a very biased opinion on the reboot but saying that, she might not have publicly endorsed the series if the scripts were absolutely rubbish. Make of that what you will.
Either way, hopefully, the Harry Potter reboot won't be a total wreck and will live up to the standards of its source material. Only time will tell.
