When it comes to the upcoming Harry Potter television adaptation, many fans are worried that it will be just too similar to the original movie series.
As a result, some fans are asking if there is even any point to it.
However, a series of leaks reveal that HBO’s Harry Potter may indeed fill in plenty of plot holes from both the original book and movie series and even feature some characters who were sadly cut from the beloved films.
From rumours of Voldemort appearing much earlier to even Nicholas Flamel making a cameo, leaks surrounding the 2027 television show are in full swing.

More recently, however, talk has turned to one key book character finally making his way to the big screen.
Despite playing a key role in multiple plot lines in the J.K. Rowling book series, Ronan the centaur was never featured in the movies, instead allowing Harry and friends to deal with friend Firenze.
However, Ronan becomes a key ally to the Golden Trio, going on to help them investigate the death of the unicorn in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, sticking up for them against fiery Bane, and even leading his fellow centaurs into war in the Battle of Hogwarts at the end of the series.
According to Redandian Intelligence, actor Jake Curran will take on the role of Ronan in the upcoming television show adaptation which is not only good news for fans of the character but also means that we may not have to deal with the film’s attempt at CGI when it comes to the centaurs.

We all remember the moment where Harry is rescued by Firenze in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone but with a real-life actor on set, we can only hope that things will look, well, better this time around.
As for Curran himself, he is no stranger to a book-to-movie adaptation after starring in 2018’s Maze Runner: The Death Cure so we can only hope that he is ready to take on another beloved fictional character.
For now, HBO’s Harry Potter is currently filming and is not expected to hit the service until some time in 2027.
That being said, with the show expected to run for at least 10 years, it seems as though we are in for the long run despite it seeming like only yesterday that we watched the original movies for the first time.
