The upcoming Harry Potter TV show might finally explore Lord Voldemort’s introduction in live-action form.
We’re still a year or so away from the release of HBO’s reboot of the Harry Potter series, which will be a TV production rather than a new movie release. Still, it’s exciting for fans nonetheless.
Much like the movies, we know that the TV series will be somewhat of a faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s novels are set in the present day, which in turn might inspire the setting of the yet-to-be-announced Hogwarts Legacy 2.
Casting for the Harry Potter series is already underway, with some of the roles for its biggest characters already announced, such as Harry, Hermione and Ron. Not to mention Professor Dumbledore, Rubeus Hagrid, Professor Snape and many more.

At the time of writing, the role for the infamous villain, Lord Voldemort, hasn't been officially announced, but it’s rumoured that male and female actors are being considered. That being said, it’s also rumoured that “Lady Voldemort” may have already been cast.
As reported by Comicbook.com, images were shown via the Twitter account ‘Wizarding World Direct’ of the English village, Lustleigh. This will be the location of Harry Potter’s home of Godric's Hollow.
It’s currently not known how heavily Godric's Hollow will feature in the series, but there might be a chance that it could result in added Potter family lore, not explored to great detail in the movies.

Godri's Hollow does feature in the movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I, when Harry and Hermione hunt Horcruxes. But as for the death of Harry’s parents, James and Lily, who were killed by Lord Voldemort, that’s only shown in flashback sequences.

Comicbook believes that these on-set photos could hint at the death of Harry’s parents being shown in greater detail. The reason being, is that Godric's Hollow is where they were killed, before Harry was taken to safety by Hagrid to Dumbledore, who then dropped him off at the wonderful Dursleys on Privet Drive.
What’s more, as mentioned by Twitter user MovieFlameProd, who retweeted another on-set image, this time one that looks to be Halloween-themed, further puzzle pieces have fallen into place. James and Lily Potter were killed on Halloween night by Lord Voldemort in 1981.
Of course, this is all speculative at this point, but I’ll guess we’ll learn more when the Harry Potter TV series is expected to launch sometime in 2027.
