Harry Potter fans praise 'amazing' Mad Eye Moody HBO series casting

Harry Potter fans seemingly want one person to be cast as Mad-Eye Moody in the upcoming HBO TV series.

The release date for the Harry Potter reboot hasnt been announced yet, but fans have named one of the boys who’ll be perfect to play the new role of Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody, a role that previously belonged to Brendan Gleeson.

“The new adaptation will introduce you to a new cast for a new generation of fandom, and will be full of the fantastic detail, much-loved characters and dramatic locations we have loved for over 25 years,” read an announcement on HarryPotter.com regarding the new TV series. “Each season will be authentic to the original books and bring Harry Potter and his incredible adventures to new audiences around the world.”

We already know who’ll be playing the roles of Professor Albus Dumbledore and Professor Servus Snape but at the time of writing, fans are left waiting to see who’ll be the new Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.

Speaking of Harry, Hermione and Ron, hopefully those details will arrive soon because casting has recently closed for the new trio.

So, who do Harry Potter fans want to play Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody, I hear you ask? None other than Karl Urban aka Billy Butcher from The Boys and Johnny Cage from the upcoming Mortal Kombat II movie.
