It won’t be long until filming for the upcoming Harry Potter television show reboot is underway and ahead of its cast arriving on set, one leaker has given us a sneak peek of a notable location.

The Harry Potter HBO reboot is set to air some time next year and will take us back to the story of the Boy Who Lived, albeit in a television show format, consisting of seven seasons.

With one season representing one book in the series, it is clear that this Harry Potter reboot will go on for quite some time.

At the time of writing, we know that filming for Harry Potter will begin in summer 2025 and that actors John Lithgow and Paapa Essiedu will be taking on the roles of Dumbledore and Snape respectively.

Janet McTeer will also star as Professor McGonagall, Nick Frost will play loveable giant Hagrid, and Paul Whitehouse will take on the role of Argus Filch.

We don’t yet know which young actors will be playing our Golden Trio but we do know that they will have some big shoes to fill.

With casting still to be announced, fans are eager to hear more and luckily, thanks to leaker UnBoxPHD over on Twitter, we now have our first official look at a famous location in the Harry Potter series.

Privet Drive.

Sharing drone images of the street being built from scratch, we can now see the famous road that Harry grew up in and this gives us our first official look at what HBO has cooking.

Not only that but the leaker also shared a video on their Youtube channel giving us even more insight into the set design.

Over on r/harrypotter, fans were quick to share their thoughts.

“That is a substantial set. I have a feeling they’re building it to leave it up,” the top comment by happy_oblivion reads.

This would make sense considering that Harry returns to Privet Drive in between terms at Hogwarts.

“I hope they ground the entire series more in the 90s like the books did,” another user shared.

The HBO Harry Potter reboot is expected to air in 2026 and filming is set to begin very soon.
