The wait for Fallout 5 may see us still waiting by 2030, but in the meantime, fans of the post-apocalyptic series have received some news that will definitely make the hiatus that little bit easier.

This year celebrates the ten-year anniversary of Fallout 4, and although Fallout 76 was released back in 2018, it seems as though the next mainline, single-player entry in the Bethesda series is not set to release any time soon.

Check out our interview with the cast of Fallout below!

Especially as Bethesda is currently working on development for The Elder Scrolls VI.

As a result, it may be quite a number of years until we get our hands on Fallout 5.

That being said, it is not all doom and gloom.

That is because the Fallout television adaptation has now been renewed for a third season which is pretty impressive considering its second season does not air on Prime Video until December of this year.

It is safe to say that the first season of Fallout was a hit and, judging by its speedy renewal, the second season is shaping up to be another exciting addition.

Although this does not help fans of the Bethesda RPG series, it is good news for fans of the series as a whole and some recently took to r/xbox to share their thoughts about Fallout season three.

“Amazing how they managed to get season 2 out in under two years, cannot wait,” the top comment read on one post announcing the renewal.

User suchascenicworld added, “And here I am learning that Season 2 comes out in December! That is very exciting indeed!”

For one user, they seemingly already have future seasons planned.

“I'm itching for some seasonal theme predictions,” they shared.

“S2: New Vegas

S3: Homesteader/Raider season

S4: Horror/Spooky theme. (i.e. Dunwich/Cryptids/Far Harbor-adjacent)

S5: Generic season w/ series villain buildup at the end

S6: Enclave Season/series finale.”

We already know that season two will be taking us to New Vegas but as for the future, the options are endless.

Fallout season two airs on Prime Video in December 2025.
