Fallout fans are hyped after we were treated to a New Vegas tease at this week’s The Game Awards.

It was certainly another stacked show at The Game Awards last night, not only with developers picking up gongs for all their hard work but we were also treated to a host of new game reveals, such as a brand new IP from Uncharted and The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog.

Check out our chat with the Fallout cast below!

Unlike many anime adaptations, We’ve not had much luck with live-action video game productions, and as a devoted fan of Resident Evil, it’s a pain that I know too well. Thankfully, at least in recent times, it seems that things are changing.

For starters, we’ve had the fantastic The Last of Us series from HBO and now we eagerly await the second season arriving at some point in 2025. Heck, even the quality of the Gran Turismo movie caught me off guard. If you’ve not watched that, I highly recommend it.

Earlier this year, we were also graced with the live-action adaptation of Bethesda’s beloved Fallout series streamed on Amazon’s Prime Video platform. I think we all hoped that Fallout would be good but I think I can fairly say that many of us never expected it to be as well received as it was.

Now, much like The Last of Us, we can’t wait for the second season of Fallout, which currently at this time, does not have a release date. I think the best we can hope for right now is late 2025 or early 2026.

Before I proceed, I will be going into spoilers for the final episode of Fallout, so please consider this to be your spoiler warning.

In the final scene of the Fallout season one finale, we see one of its leading characters in the Nevada desert looking at New Vegas in the distance, confirming that season two will be heavily inspired by the 2010 RPG developed by Obsidian Entertainment.

At this time, we don’t know much more. However, when picking up the award for ‘Best Adaptation’, a minute into the video above, one of the series' directors, Jonathan Nolan, thanked Fallout: New Vegas fans for not “burning his house to the ground”.

I assume those comments were jokingly directed at some fans who may be worried that Fallout: New Vegas might not be treated with the respect it deserves in the second season. That being said, judging by the quality of season one, I don’t think we’ll have much to worry about.

Fallout is available to stream now on Prime, and you can play the video game series from Fallout 3 (including New Vegas) with an Xbox Game Pass subscription at no extra cost.
