The Game Awards 2024 is still in full swing and in between incredible game trailers and the occasional advertisement, awards are being handed out to some standout games, developers and, in this case, adaptations.

The 10th annual The Game Awards ceremony is currently taking place and with games such as The Witcher 4, Borderlands 4 and Elden Ring: Nightreign showing off some impressive new trailers, time is also being taken to hand out some well-earned awards.

Check out our interview with the cast of Fallout below!

Voted for by a gaming industry jury as well as the general public, it's been decided who stood out amongst the rest this year.

The nominees for Best Adaptation were as follows: Arcane, Fallout, Knuckles, Like a Dragon: Yakuza and Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft.

Now we know the winner.

The Best Adaptation for 2024 goes to none other than Fallout.

Airing on Prime Video back in April and based on the much-loved Bethesda RPG series, Fallout told the story of a young woman, Lucy (Ella Purnell), who had to venture out into a post-nuclear war-torn land in order to find her father.

Along the way, she encounters wasteland raiders, the Brotherhood of Steel and even a legendary ghoul hunter known as The Ghoul (Walter Goggins).

Fallout was met with instant success from both critics and the general public and it was not long before it was renewed for a second season.

So it is perhaps no wonder that it beat shows such as Arcane to bag the trophy at The Game Awards this evening.

Filming for Fallout season two has reportedly already begun, but we cannot expect to see it until at least 2026.

However, thanks to its success tonight, we can expect thousands of new viewers to flock to the hit Prime Video adaptation.
