We knew it was coming but that did not make the world premiere any less incredible.

The Game Awards 2024 is currently ongoing and alongside the announcement of The Witcher 4 and Elden Ring: Nightreign, we have also received our first glimpse of Borderlands 4.

Check out the world premiere trailer for Borderlands 4 below!

Expected to launch some time in 2025 and developed by Gearbox Software in collaboration with 2K Games, Borderlands 4 is the next entry in the much-loved Borderlands series and the first title since the Tiny Tina's Wonderlands spin-off back in 2022.

Borderlands 4 was first announced during Gamescom’s opening night alongside a brief trailer, however this is the first time we have received a full launch trailer.

Players will once again take on the role of a Vault Hunter who must search for a unique, alien treasure all whilst causing quite a bit of chaos, destruction and humour in their wake.

The Game Awards’ world premiere trailer gives us a look at some of that very action in Gearbox Software’s memorable artstyle.

With what looks like an ongoing war, multiple settlements and even a cheeky grapple hook featured in the combat, Borderlands 4 looks to be everything the previous entries in the franchise was and more.

“The team and I at Gearbox have a lot we’ve wanted to do with Borderlands since we first introduced the looter shooter genre to the world with our original game,” shared Randy Pitchford, founder and President of the Gearbox Entertainment Company.

“All of us at Gearbox have massive ambitions for Borderlands 4 and are putting everything we have into making everything we love about Borderlands better than ever before while taking the game to new levels in exciting new directions.”

Borderlands 4 is expected to launch some time in 2025 and will arrive across all platforms.
