Elden Ring anime tease just dropped, and it's beautiful

Elden Ring in anime form is gorgeous

Some of Elden Ring’s most-popular story moments are being turned into animated shorts, and it’s begging for a full-on adaptation.

Elden Ring is all the rage once again thanks to its upcoming DLC expansion, Shadow Of The Erdtree, which launches next month for Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms.

Check out the most recent trailer for Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree below.

To mark the occasion, some of the base game’s most memorable moments are being transformed into a series of animated shorts, and it looks incredibly promising so far.

FromSoftware unfortunately has nothing to do with this, though maybe if the fans love it, an official anime-adaptation could enter production…

Indie production group SteinsAlter is behind the project, and recently shared a tweet asking for animators to help out, along with some examples of what they’ve got cooking up.

I’d imagine a full-on Elden Ring anime would look a little something like the promotional trailer for Hades if anyone remembers that… lots of fluid movements and earth-shattering attacks to reflect the gameplay it's based on.

Speaking further about the shorts, SteinsAlter said, “This will be three minutes filled with cinematically composed sakuga that adapts and recreates moments from Elden Ring, we will be aiming to release the best animation possible for us.”

It’ll tackle some of the game’s most beloved characters and bosses, including my personal favourite, Maliketh.

There’s currently no release window for when we’ll see the shorts fully-realised, though hopefully it coincides with the release of the Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion.

Speaking of which, new details about Elden Ring’s one and only DLC have leaked online, including how big the open world will be, as well as how long it’ll take you to 100% it.

Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree releases next month, and will be the grand-finale for FromSoftware’s best game.
