Batman: The Animated Series returns in jaw-dropping new release

The BEST Batman TV series, no doubt

Batman: The Animated Series is without a doubt some of the best Batman media ever made, and I don’t think we’ll ever get anything like it again.

While the TV series has been off-air for years now, every now and then, it comes back to remind us what we lost - now including the beloved voice actor of the Dark Knight Kevin Conroy who’s still missed to this day.

Check out Batman: The Animated Series below.

The last time we saw an on-screen return of the series was through a brief cameo in Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths Part 3, but that’s not what we're talking about today.

If you’re a collector of all things Batman-related and have a special place in your heart from the long-gone animated series, you might be interested in the newly announced Batcycle action figure.

Sporting a design that’s exactly the same as the one used in the TV series, the Batcycle includes an animated Batman sitting atop it with a bat-helmet on his head.

After all, even caped crusaders must put safety first.

Fans will recognise the Batcycle from the first two seasons of the TV series, and it was also used in the animated film Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm as well.

It’s not the only piece of memorabilia out there either, as there are plenty of other figures and models based-on the animated series to purchase, and likely many more in the future.

As for a revival of the TV series, it’s unlikely we’ll ever see one - especially with Kevin Conroy’s passing.

The closest we’ve got is the spiritual successor Batman: Caped Crusader, the first season of which went down well with fans for its unique take on the Batman mythos.

Pre-orders for the Batcycle action figure are available now through Mezco Toys and participating retailers.
