Spider-Man: No Way Home was a huge success at the box office despite the ongoing pandemic. Fans were still eager to go see Tom Holland wrap up his part Spider-Man trilogy as the web slinging hero, where they even got to see him meet up with some past Spideys along the way. Ever since the final credit scrolled however, fans have been speculating just what that means for the future of Spider-Man films.
Amy Pascal, producer of the trilogy really stirred the pot in an interview with Fandango. When discussing this most recent edition to Spider-Man's filmography, she couldn't help but interrupt the flow with news of her planned upcoming projects.
"We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We're thinking of this as three films, and now we're going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies. Yes, Marvel and Sony are going to keep going together as partners."

Tobey Maguire, who played our swinging arachnid in the Sam Raimi trilogy already hinted that No Way Home was not the final piece in his Spider-Man's story. So it wouldn't be unbelievable to think that this trio of Peter Parker's could make appearances in future Spidey forays. However, Holland has been eager to quell fans fervor amid rumours that he will return as the wall-climbing photographer.
Speaking to EW, Holland clarified that the future of Spider-Man cinema is far from secure.
"We've had conversations about the potential future of Spider-Man, but at the moment they are conversations. We don't know what the future looks like."
Holland clarified that he knows Pascal as well as Marvel president Kevin Feige and Sony head Tom Rothman are "thinking of something" for the franchise but that Holland himself isn't sure what that is. His latest film based around gaming franchise Uncharted is set to release 11 February, as such Holland admits he's "not really thinking about the future." Instead he says "I'm still riding the wave of the success of the film (No Way Home) and enjoying that."
