The latest trailer for Thor: Love And Thunder has arrived, and continues to look like the most exciting MCU Phase Four movie yet.

Not only do we get a much closer look at Natalie Portman's incredible new superhero persona, The Mighty Thor, we're also treated to the terrifying MCU debut of Gorr, The God Butcher.

Check it out below!

Obviously somebody with a name like God Butcher isn't the kind of person you want to invite round for tea and cake. In the comic books, Gorr is a particularly nasty bastard who, after losing his faith, sets out on a journey across the universe to wipe out all gods. Talk about ambitious.

In Love And Thunder, Gorr is played by former Batman Christian Bale, and he looks just as terrifying as ever. Gorr, that is, not Bale. Although we all remember that leaked set video.

While most of what we've seen from the new Thor movie so far looks to be setting up a romantic road trip focused on our hero's journey to find inner peace, Gorr's presence suggests that there could be some seriously dark moments to come. I mean, you can't really put a character called God Butcher in a movie filled with gods and have everyone get out alive at the end, can you?

I suppose we'll find out for sure when Thor: Love And Thunder hits cinemas July 8.
