One of the best Witcher stories is being retold

When it comes to fantasy RPG video games, few have been as good as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from CD Projekt RED, which is inspired by the Andrzej Sapkowski novels.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was originally released in 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and despite it not being the first game from the Polish developer, it’s hard to argue against the fact that this RPG helped to put the studio on the map and it hasn't looked back since.

The experience of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was made even greater following the free next-gen upgrade for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. However, fans can now look to more Geralt of Rivia goodness with not only a remake of the original game but The Witcher 4 is also on the way.

Yet, before we’re graced with the presence of more Geralt and co in video game form, we can first look forward to one of the best stories told in the entire series and it’s on the way soon. As reported by ComicBook, Dark Horse Comics is teaming up with CD Projekt RED to adapt an Andrzej Sapkowski story as a graphic novel.

To be more exact, the graphic novel will adapt The Last Wish and will be called The Witcher: The Edge of the World. The new graphic novel will be written by Magdalena Salik who is teaming up with artist Tommaso Bennato, colourist Chris O'Halloran, and letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.

“Work is hard to come by for Geralt. And for his bardic travelling companion, Dandelion, the doldrum of the road is not a worthy subject for his rhymes or ballads,” reads the description of The Edge of the World.

“As they travel to the edge of the known world, townsfolk speak of many stories, but it seems that's all they are- recitals of monsters and superstition- until a man follows Geralt with news of a devil scavenging the local fields. Get rid of the beast, but under no circumstances is it to be killed. Only how can Geralt hunt the creature, when there are no such things as devils?"
