breaking news

It has just been revealed that Geralt of Rivia is set to return in an epic tale as he pursues a proclamation from a king who reveals that a bloodthirsty beast is plaguing his palace.
First introduced in Blood of Elves, the first novel in The Witcher series by author Andrzej Sapkowski, Geralt of Rivia has cemented himself as one of the most iconic fictional characters of all time.
Since his inception back in 1994, the monster-slayer has starred in eight more entries to The Witcher book series, as well as video game adaptations by CD Projekt RED.
Most notably, Geralt became something of a household name thanks to his starring role in 2015’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt which in itself inspired the Netflix television show, The Witcher.

However, the man himself is back once more with a brand new release titled, you guessed it, The Witcher.
Announced on the official The Witcher Twitter account, The Witcher is an upcoming graphic novel adaptation of Sapkowski’s short story from The Last Wish and better yet, it is available to pre-order now.
For those unfamiliar with The Last Wish, it is the first short story collection by Sapkowski and is set in The Witcher universe.
First published in Polish in the 90s, The Last Wish was later translated and released in English and has since become a must-read for The Witcher fans, especially as it tells multiple tales of Geralt of Rivia and his adventures.

Geralt Must Hunt Down Yet Another Beast
The story is told after he is injured in battle and must rest at a temple. It is here that he reflects on events which shaped his past with each event shaping a unique story in the collection.
Now this upcoming graphic novel aims to bring a new art style to the beloved The Last Wish when it releases on Tuesday, 16 December. Just in time for Christmas.
The official synopsis for The Witcher graphic novel reads as follows:
“Geralt pursues a proclamation from a king of a bloodthirsty monster plaguing his palace. A hefty reward is offered to cure the beast, but not to kill it, for the king holds a secret—what lies beneath the palace is beyond the spawn of evil.
“Tried and failed by charlatans, Geralt sets out to claim the bounty—by decree of the king or by the pleas of those who wish the creature dead.
“This graphic novel is the fourth in a series of adaptations from Sapkowski’s acclaimed short story collection The Last Wish!”
With writing from Sapkowski as well as Aleksandra Zielinska, the graphic novel also features art from Michael Dowling and Kai Carpenter.
Released courtesy of Dark Horse, The Witcher will make the perfect addition to your bookshelf this Christmas.
