The Witcher meets Ghost Of Tsushima in stunning new RPG that arrived from nowhere

Good lord this looks beautiful

This one really came outta left field, because a new upcoming action game that looks like a mix between Ghost of Tsushima, The Witcher 3 and Uncharted just popped up online… and by god does this one look absolutely beautiful.

Blood Message is an upcoming "narrative-driven, linear action-adventure single-player game" from publisher NetEase and developer 24 Entertainment, and it was announced alongside a trailer earlier this morning. Well, earlier this morning our time.

Now, the majority of the trailer is pre-rendered and doesn’t really have anything in the way of gameplay, but oh boy does this look gorgeous.

With that in mind, the users over on the r/pcgaming subreddit are impressed with what we’ve seen, although they are collectively tempering their expectations.

“Wow this looks neat but I need to see more gameplay first”, commented user UnseenData.

“Usually these are just in-engine and won't play like what I saw.”

“China has seriously been making a push for major, high budget video game releases with original, Chinese IPs in the last few years in a way that it hasn't really done before”, replied user OutlandishnessNo8839.

“It's quite interesting to see. Will definitely keep an eye out for this. Looks cool!”

Personally, yeah, I see where they’re coming from.

The developer, 24 Entertainment, has only really made one other game, NARAKA: Bladepoint.

Now opinions on that vary quite a lot, but as a proof of concept for a bigger game, I think it’s best to keep your expectations low.

Plus, the few gameplay segment’s in Blood Message’s trailer do look very, very scripted, so I’ll wait to see how the actual combat plays out before I commit to any real opinion on this one.

Sounds like it’ll be landing on all consoles and PC when it does eventually release however, so hopefully this one sticks the landing.
