The first trailer has arrived for The Marvels - and it honestly looks like the best MCU film in years.

With the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Phase Five of the MCU finally got underway. On the whole, Phase Four felt a little directionless - which was bound to happen after the dizzyingly epic heights of the culmination of The Infinity Saga. When it comes to The Multiverse Saga, the rough concept was introduced in Phase Four, but it certainly feels like things are truly progressing now - in part thanks to the introduction of Kang, our new big bad.

Personally, I hugely enjoyed Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, despite its less-than-ideal review scores. Next up on the roster we have the highly-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which will wrap up several characters’ time in the MCU - including Drax - followed by The Marvels. Set to release on 10 November, The Marvels will see Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani’s Miss Marvel team up - and the first trailer has arrived. Let me tell you, it looks utterly delightful.

Take a look at the brand new trailer for The Marvels below.

Following on from the events of Disney Plus’ Miss Marvel, the film will see the three main characters swap places with one another (Is that Miss Marvel end scene coming back to you now?). After crossing paths, the trio will need to team up and use their united powers against a new threat. Samuel L. Jackson will also return as Nick Fury but perhaps most excitingly of all, Goose the cat is back.

Well, technically he’s a Flerken - you know, the ginger cat with the tentacles. In the trailer, we see Iman’s Kamala Khan witness Goose’s unique power up close and let’s just say, she’s pretty horrified by it - understandably. It gave me a good chuckle though.

The film is scheduled to release on 10 November and honestly, it looks like the best MCU instalment in years. I’ll be counting down the days to this one, that’s for sure.
