There’s a new, official The Last of Us release on the horizon, and anyone even slightly interested in the development process of video games will be interested in getting their hands on this.
Developer Naughty Dog and Sony have just revealed that a rather unique The Last of Us release will soon be on store shelves, as detailed in an article by Variety's Jennifer Maas.
Released in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics, “The Last of Us: Part I and Part II Scripts” will, as the title may imply, give TLOU fans more insight into the writing process behind the games.
It’ll feature the finished scripts for everything from The Last of Us: Left Behind to The Last of Us Part II, as written by Neil Druckmann and Halley Gross.

Over on the r/thelastofus subreddit, fans are already excited to get their hands on this uncommon piece of video game merch.
“Ooo, I'd actually be interested in picking this up. I love reading screenplays/scripts”, commented user nmad95.
“I've never read a video game script before though, would like to see how it's written.”
“Holy s**t, this is amazing! Neil and Halley are my writing idols. I need this!” replied user TheUFCVeteran3.

“This is such a boon for writers. Can’t believe more game studios don’t do this!” commented user newfoundrapture.
I wouldn’t necessarily consider myself a The Last of Us mega fan, even though I did thoroughly enjoy both games, but even I think this is cool as hell.
Getting a glimpse into the creative process behind one of the most popular video game series of all time is such a rarity, and I legit might have to grab a copy of this for myself just to satiate my curiosity.
I may have to grab it sooner than later though, considering all the reports of people reselling the book already…
