Naughty Dog is back with yet another free download for The Last of Us fans and this one will see the game perform better than ever for PC users.
It is hard to remember which version of The Last of Us Part II we are currently on with Naughty Dog dedicated to releasing it as many times as possible across various platforms.
That being said, there is no denying that the studio wants to push its award-winning game to its limits and that is why it regularly releases updates and patches to players at no extra cost.
That is the case this time around as Patch v1.6 is out now for The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC.

The update aims to fix multiple bugs, offer visual improvements, address various controller-related issues and more.
The patch notes for Patch v1.6 can be found on the official Naughty Dog website but let us take a look at some of the bigger changes.
There has now been a resolution to a rare progression blocker which would see some players unable to shoot their pistol during the car chase scene with Ellie and Jesse as the pistol would disappear from view.
Crashes will no longer happen when looking at the No Return Daily Run leaderboard or after completing a Daily Run on the Epic Games version of The Last of Us Part II.

There have also been some changes to the aquarium which seems to be the home of quite a few issues.
This includes flickering corrupted textures to appear on the ground inside the location as well as a bug that corrupted the leaves near the floor tank when Particle Density was set to medium or higher.
To put it simply, this patch aims to improve performance on The Last of Us Part II and rid the game of small issues that affect gameplay in any way.
As mentioned, Patch v1.6 for The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC is completely free to download and will begin automatically when you launch the game on your chosen programme.
