Sick The Last Of Us fans want to see a rabbit impaled by an arrow in live-action

Fans are hoping for one of the game's most upsetting scenes to be included to reference a popular Twitch meme.

The Last of Us’ TV adaptation has, so far, been very faithful to its source material - it's included many scenes which have basically mirrored the game. Some fans are hoping for this trend to continue with one of the game's most upsetting (and honestly, unnecessary) moments.

Without getting into spoilers, the well-known scene shows the unfortunate death of a bunny, which Ellie shoots with an arrow while out hunting. I’m sure I’m not the only one who found it quite difficult to watch, especially in the remake. Even so, as GamesRadar+ reports, it’s one that some fans on Reddit are really hoping makes it into the TV show. Why?!

Take a look at the trailer for The Last of Us below.

“Am I the only one hoping they start an episode of the show with this rabbit scene, just for the shock [and] meme[?]” questioned Lord_Loaf_n_Jugs0011. “It’s gonna happen. No way they cut this,” replied hadmeatgotmilk. “They’ll spend 10 minutes on the rabbit’s backstory to make it hit even harder,” joked Hog_enthusiast.

Although it probably sounds a bit bad to say that everyone’s hoping for such a brutal scene to be included, a lot of the demand relates to a viral clip of Twitch streamer Negaoryx reacting to it happening in the game. “That’s the cutest f***ing thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life” were words that aged so poorly, so, so fast, and the clip is still referenced by the fanbase to this day.

Episode four included yet another perfectly recreated scene - this time, the moment where Ellie begins looking over one of Bill’s pornographic magazines in the back of his car. It’s one of the funniest parts of the first game, and was adapted perfectly to live-action.

In case you were unaware, the next episode of The Last of Us is set to air two days earlier than usual to avoid clashing with the Super Bowl. Don’t miss it.
