It may seem as though The Elder Scrolls 6 may never be released but the long wait time has given fans the opportunity to speculate over the game’s fantasy setting.

First announced in 2018, The Elder Scrolls 6 has become somewhat of a distant dream in recent years with Bethesda staying pretty tight-lipped about its development.

Check out the only proof of The Elder Scrolls 6's existence below!

As the sequel to 2011’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the next entry is still a mystery with the studio only releasing a short teaser trailer when it was first announced six years ago.

Since then, we have received little to no information about the upcoming fantasy RPG but a small teaser image by Bethesda has got fans wondering about the game’s potential setting.

The discussion recently kicked off over on r/TESVI when one person posted the following:

“I think this Bethesda post from a while back definitely teases Hammerfell as the next setting and also subtly gives the hint that High Rock will not be featured as the province.

It’s completely covered by a log. Probably purposefully done so that people may get the hint High Rock won’t be featured.”

The post was accompanied by Bethesda’s teaser image which shows a map of Skyrim and surrounding provinces, including Hammerfell.

Bordering Skyrim on the southwest side of the map, Hammerfell was not accessible in The Elder Scrolls V but fans believe it could be the main setting of The Elder Scrolls 6.

“Solitude is Imperial controlled,” one comment read.

“So it will be in Hammerfell and the Imperials will be back in control, or we will be helping Imperials attempt to take back over.

Sea of Ghosts because sailing will be an important mechanic.”

Another said: “Hammerfell next is what made sense for me since I finished Skyrim. I don't know about Highrock though but I pray for it to be part of the TES 6 map as well.”

It remains to be seen where The Elder Scrolls VI will take place but at this point, any update would be much appreciated.
