Well this is welcomed news, but I’m getting ahead of myself. Last month, The Boys aired its season three finale yet already, fans are clamouring for the next batch of episodes. Amazon Studios clearly know what fans want because the good news is that filming on season four is already underway. What’s even better is that a The Walking Dead fan-favourite is joining the cast.

In case you missed it, check out this incredible GTA V mod which brings Homelander to Los Santos.

It’s officially been announced that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is joining the cast of The Boys. The actor is best known for portraying Negan on The Walking Dead - yeah, the guy with the bloodthirsty baseball bat. You may also remember Morgan from his time as John Winchester in Supernatural.

In fact, it’ll be a Supernatural reunion as The Boys’ showrunner Eric Kripke also created Supernatural. Morgan’s role is being kept under wraps but he’s said to be joining in a recurring guest role, which makes sense as we know Morgan will soon begin filming The Walking Dead spin-off Dead City, so he can’t have too many long-term commitments. That doesn’t mean we can’t theorise about his role though. Tek Knight, perhaps? What do you reckon?

Morgan’s guest role has been a long time coming. Back in 2020, the actor tweeted about loving the series to which Kripke replied, “I’ll make you a deal. Season three. I’ll write it and if you’re avail, come shoot it.” Morgan responded with, “In a heartbeat.” Well, we’re onto season four now but still, the team up is finally here.
