You probably won't be surprised to learn this, given that the film is three hours long, but The Batman is positively packed with Easter eggs.
The latest DC superhero adventure is a critically acclaimed, shockingly gritty noir thriller that serves as a meditation on what it means to be a hero in Gotham city. It's also riddled - pun very much intended - with secrets and references for diehard fans to uncover.
Take a look at The Batman in action below!
From Joker's surprise appearance in the movie's closing moments to the subtle references to Hush and Bane, the world of The Batman is one that director Matt Reeves has clearly thought through. In that respect it already has way more going for it than the rest of the DCEU.

But there's one scene, in particular, that's sure to disturb and delight Bat-fans everywhere. It's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment that illustrates just how creepy, and omnipresent, Paul Dano's elusive Riddler really was.
A screenshot shared by itsRyabUnicomb on Twitter, which was first noticed by ajrascals, reveals that Riddler can be seen lurking in an apartment across the street from The Iceberg Lounge as he stalks his next target.
While the image itself is a touch blurry, Reeves himself responded to the tweet confirming that it is definitely Riddler waiting to strike. Creepy, right?
While Warner Bros. has yet to confirm whether or not there'll even be a sequel to The Batman, its critical and commercial success pretty much guarantees it's inevitable.

As where the story goes next? We'll have to wait and see. But I don't believe for one second we've seen the last of Dano's haunting take on the classic Batman villain.
