Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown announces engagement

Millie Bobby Brown, the British actress best known for her role as Eleven in Stranger Things, has announced that she’s engaged.

As reported by MailOnline, the 19-year-old actress posted the news to Instagram earlier today along with an adorable picture of herself and her fiancé, Jake Bongiovi (Jon Bon Jovi’s 20-year-old son). She captioned the image: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ‘em all.”

Bongiovi also took to Instagram with his own celebratory photos of the pair’s engagement, and simply captioned them: “Forever.”

Fans have been congratulating the couple: “I’M SO HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS! I WILL CRY,” commented Instagram user millie.strangerfan. “This is so cute I’m crying[,] so happy for you both! Love you both,” wrote anniesibiza. “MY FAVOURITE COUPLE I LOVE YOU SO MUCH,” urfav.gine commented.

In case you were unfamiliar, Brown first posted a picture of Bongiovi to her Instagram back in 2021 - they’ve been together for around two and a half years, and are clearly smitten with each other.

Bongiovi is also a big fan of video games, which is a huge plus point in our books. A few months ago, he began playing through the entire Halo series on Instagram and reviewing the games as he goes “from the standpoint of a lifelong gamer”. He’s only completed a couple of them so far, so he’s still got a long way to go, and it’s been months since his last update. However, given that he’s clearly been busy planning his proposal to Brown, it’s understandable that he’s not had much time to dedicate to gaming.

No further details of the pair’s engagement have been announced - it’s not known when exactly they plan on tying the knot, or where. Chances are, we'll find out more soon.
