Starfield officially playable on Sony hardware if you're a hardcore PlayStation fan

Yes, PlayStation fans can play Starfield on Sony devices

It's no secret that a lot of PlayStation fans are pretty furious about the fact Xbox gamers are getting Starfield in a few weeks.

These are, of course, the usual toxic and overly vocal console war crybabies who have nothing better to do. Most of us look at exclusives on consoles we don't own and either consider saving up to buy that console, or simply move on with our lives. Others decide to review bomb a game before it's even out, such is the saga of Starfield.

Take a look at Starfield in all its glory below!

The good news for those of you who want to play Starfield but think owning an Xbox console would be an affront to everything you hold dear is this: you'll actually be able to play Bethesda's open-world RPG on Sony hardware. Other, more normal PlayStation fans who want to play Starfield and just can't afford a new console right now will also be glad to hear of this life-hack.

If you own a compatible Sony Android TV you can download a little something called the Xbox app, which allows you to access the Xbox Game Pass library and stream it directly from your TV. As I'm sure you know, Starfield is coming to Xbox Game Pass on Day One. So there you have it: it's entirely possible to play Starfield on a Sony device... just not a PlayStation. Close though, right?

Still, if you have a Smart TV and a good internet connection, and can't currently shell out for a new PC or Xbox Series console, this could be the best way for you to enjoy Starfield when it launches 6 September.

In other Starfield news, review codes are now in the hands of press, and fans are already braced for a very positive run of impressions. We'll have our verdict on the game at the end of the month.
