Stardew Valley players can now pick up a new free mod that is perfect for a fresh playthrough.
Modder PlatinumCats has released a new expansion for Quaint Living, refreshing some architectural designs that appear in Stardew Valley.
This one focuses specifically on buildings, and complements their previous Quaint Living addon which featured a fresh fence redesign.
“I've always loved the idea of an English cottage-inspired farmhouse, with overgrown roofs and semi-wild flowers climbing the walls (those poor bricks!),” reads the description from PlatinumCats.

“It's utterly beautiful. I tried to recreate that enchanting feeling, and I hope it comes through. This initial release includes a seasonal farmhouse, silo, and shipping bin.”

It sounds like PlatinumCats plans on expanding the mod further in the future, adding new buildings and designs to fit with the Quaint Living theme.
“I plan to create retextures for most - if not all - buildings eventually, so keep an eye out for updates,” they wrote.
The mod also has some alternative textures for the winter, adding a touch of frost to the new building designs which fit with the snowy vibe that Pelican Town receives during the winter month.
If you’d like to download Quaint Living - Buildings, you can do so now by grabbing it from the Stardew Valley page on Nexus Mods.

Having recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, Stardew Valley has got a new free update confirmed to be in the works.
While the exact contents of this update is still largely unknown, we do know that it’ll feature two new marriage candidates, Clint and Sandy. It’ll likely also feature a new starting farm type, as is tradition.
