Stardew Valley players will know the feeling of starting a new farm very well, as for some it’s a fresh start and a new challenge whereas for others it’s pain, just pain.
Sometimes starting over is for the best though. Perhaps you’ve fallen out of love with the aesthetic of your farm and it’s too much effort to change, or perhaps you want to try one of the many, many mods to spice up your next playthrough.
This mod aims to cater to all types of players, and it’s worth starting a new file over.
It’s called Kisaa’s Sleepy Glade Farm and if you’ve been searching for a mod that’ll slow down Stardew Valley’s tempo this is it.

I’ll let the mod’s description do the talking for this one as it explains the gist of it quite well: “A small, sleepy farm tucked into a deep forest glade. Limited crop space makes for a challenge or more relaxed gameplay... your pick! Features forest forage and an abundance of berry bushes. Grass can spread even on undiggable terrain, so ranching is still possible.”
Compared to the other Stardew Valley farms this one feels like pure isolation. I’d say it’s best suited to players who want to purely focus on the simple life of farming rather than venturing into town and rizzing up the locals.
Venturing further into the NexusMods page there are a few extra details to share regarding this new farm’s layout and how it works with the rest of your game.

The important one in my opinion is it’ll still support multiplayer, though with limited space surrounding the house it might cause a few arguments…
Another important bit of info is it won’t overwrite any of the farms currently found in the game. I see no reason why it would or how it could but it’s nice to know anyway.
Other features include a custom starter giftbox, a custom fish/crab pot catch pool, plenty of fish to catch nearby, foraging and toggleable wood debris, so there's quite a bit of content to this one.
Kisaa's Sleepy Glade Farm is available to download from NexusMods now, and might be just your cup of tea if you want to do the impossible and make the game’s vibes even more chill.
If you decide it’s not for you though don’t worry as you’re not short of alternate mods. In fact one I’d recommend you look into turns the game into a post-apocalyptic RPG…
