Stardew Valley fans are teased with an isometric mode, and it looks so amazing, leading to many realising they would probably pay for this as DLC.
A stunning game, Stardew perfectly symbolises the term 'indie darling' - a game that was initially developed by one man, Eric Barone, perhaps better known to fans as the studio ConcernedApe.
“You've inherited your grandfather's old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life,” reads the synopsis of the game. “Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home?”
Ever since Stardew Valley was originally released in 2016 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, before arriving on many other platforms, including Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, it has benefited from a plethora of free content updates.

What’s more, not only has Stardew Valley been supported by said content updates, the ever-vibrant modding community is continually breathing new life into the game, whether it's visual improvements, new quests, locations and more.
Better still, there seems to be no sign of the Stardew Valley content updates and mods ending anytime soon, which should hopefully keep us busy until the next game from ConcernedApe arrives, namely, Haunted Chocolatier.
Speaking of the Haunted Chocolatier, despite being announced in 2021, it still does not have a release date. That being said, we’re sure that it will be well worth the wait.
We’d love to see this in Stardew Valley
Looping back to the fantastic modding community, one mod that fans will no doubt love to see is being able to play Stardew Valley in a new isometric perspective, rather than its standard top-down.

As brought to our attention by ScreenRant, an image was shared on Reddit, courtesy of the talented pixel artist, sevvleaves, showcasing the concept of the isometric perspective in Stardew Valley.
“This is my first post here. I’m a pixel artist and I’d like to share a Stardew Valley fan art where I change the game’s perspective to isometric. I hope you like it,” they said.

To no surprise whatsoever, fellow Stardew Valley fans on the thread were full of praise for the talents of sevvleaves.
“I'd pay to play this. It looks amazing,” declared tankiplayer12, to which sevvleaves replied, “Thanks, I would make a mod if I knew how to program.”
Sadly, however, according to some programmers on the thread, being able to develop this perspective might be easier said than done.
“I've dabbled with the code to make a mod of my own. And yes, the game is designed around the grid, trying to change it to isometric would be a nightmare. Your isometric art is beautiful, though,” explained Drumknott88.

“Absolutely gorgeous,” praised SplashB95.
“I love this art. It adds such a fun dimension to the game,” said MathematicianOdd6703.
