Star Wars Day is almost upon us, set to be held on 4 May for, I’d hope, obvious reasons.
It’s going to be quite the prosperous year for fans of Lucasfilm’s acclaimed franchise.
The Mandalorian and Grogu will arrive in cinemas on 22 May, with video game Star Wars: Galactic Racer now confirmed for 6 October.
The second season of Ahsoka is expected sometime this year, plus leaks claim that a Star Wars Jedi 3 game reveal might be on the cards this summer.

Yet another video game has just been confirmed in the form of Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains which has dropped a world premiere trailer.
The game unsurprisingly puts a Star Wars twist on the classic board game of monopoly, with players scooping up virtual real estate in an attempt to out perform their opponents.
Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains is confirmed to be launching across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games, as well as Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
“The crossover brings a dynamic team-based twist to the classic family board game from Hasbro featuring iconic characters like Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and more,” the team announced.
The game is set upon a custom Monopoly board featuring iconic Star Wars locations.
In fact, there are 22 locations with “a unique 3D diorama from every Star Wars era, including Ewok Village, the Sandcrawler, Echo Base, and Jedi Temple”.

This isn’t your ordinary game of Monopoly with Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains featuring “dynamic elements”, namely, players will build a team of characters with each character boasting an ability that could alter the course of the game.
“How you construct your team will play a pivotal role in securing victory; and dice battles and new GO events introduce game-altering twists,” devs tease.
There are 28 characters to choose from with 14 abilities available, although the exact nature of those abilities is seemingly being kept under wraps for now.
Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains can be enjoyed with friends and family as 2v2 and 3v3 modes are available in both couch co-op and online co-op.
Landing on the same tile as another player will also trigger a fun dice battle to determine who gains control of the location which adds yet another interesting twist.
Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains is set to launch on 11 June, so there’s not very long to go until it's ours to enjoy.
Pre-orders are open now and those who do pre-order will secure two unique dice skins at launch. It’s not the best bonus, but you should never look a gift horse in the mouth.
One pre-order dice design is based on Jawas while the other pays homage to the Clone Troopers.
At $29.99 / £24.99, Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains isn’t too pricey of a purchase.
