Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's best character is Turgle, and you know it

Fans have fallen in love with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's froggy friend, Turgle.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is here, and fans are absolutely obsessed with one particular funky froggy friend.

Although Star Wars Jedi: Survivor got off to a rough start on PC - with performance issues prompting an onslaught of negative reviews - the general consensus seems to be that at the heart of things, the game is a phenomenal sequel to Fallen Order. Basically everything that could have been improved upon has been, from the addition of extra customisation options for Cal, to a far better Holomap, and most importantly, fast travel.

Take a look at our review for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor right here.

Despite all the valuable gameplay upgrades, the one part of the game that seems to have taken over social media is the existence of Turgle. As IGN reports, Turgle is a funny little frog-like lad who Cal encounters on Koboh. He’s enthusiastic, naive, full of good vibes, and generally has a very loveable character design. Twitter has been flooded with fan art and memes of him as a result.

“Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has a character called Turgle and I know literally nothing about him, but think he looks so funny!” artist @trudicastle posted, along with the sweetest drawing of the froggy boy.

“Turgle has arrived at the Met Gala,” @camandfilm tweeted, along with an edit of Turgle strutting his stuff at the Met Gala entrance.

Twitter user @mralisola summed it up best: “If Turgle has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Turgle has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Turgle has only one fan then that is me. If Turgle has no fans, then that means I am no longer on Earth. If the world is against Turgle, then I am against the world.”

It’s not just the fans who wholeheartedly believe in Turgle supremacy. After Jedi: Survivor’s review embargo lifted, Respawn Entertainment designer Justin Perez tweeted: “All of us on the dev team were pretty sure Turgle was going to be the breakout star of Jedi: Survivor and the main takeaway from today is that we were absolutely correct. Our internal Slack channel dedicated to pictures from photo mode is filled with Turgle glamour shots. This team LOVES us a weird frog character.”

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is out now on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
