Star Wars fans are rejoicing - even though it has been years since the glory days of the Battlefront games, we’re getting something better.
Well, better if you like Fortnite, as Star Wars has taken over the battle royale, bringing with it plenty of the iconic weapons and characters in the biggest celebration of the franchise.

Of course, many are seeing this as a pseudo return to the Battlefront franchise, which has laid dormant for some time.
In those games, players would gather together in large open maps and do battle with iconic weapons and vehicles.
Seeing as this is the closest we’re going to get to that for a while, we might as well drop in and enjoy it.
“They should remove Ballistic and make a Battlefront game mode,” said one fan over on Twitter.

Another chimed in with, “It should be a GAME MODE that will never leave Fortnite.”
Star Wars has had a close partnership with the battle royale for a few years now, with the new dedicated season, players have the chance to recreate memorable moments in close range, and long-distance, firefights.
“Epic Games to EA, 'Hold my beer'," said a very eager fan.
And the Battlefront comparisons just kept coming, with so many players eager to relive those glory days.

“Legit, huge W in my book,” celebrates another Star Wars fan.
This fan wants much more from the collaboration, saying, “It would be cool if there was a Star Wars mode much like Battlefront 2 where you capture objectives, and be able to choose heroes/villains and vehicles.”
Never say never; the 3D models may get added to UEFN for creators to make their own Battlefront clones in creative mode.
