Someone's Put Chris Pratt In An Unreal Engine Super Mario Bros. Remake

One Mario fan has recreated Super Mario Bros. in Unreal Engine 5 starring Chris Pratt, and the results are incredible.

We’re just over five months away from the release of Illumination’s Super Mario Bros film starring Chris Pratt and if that’s a prospect that fills you with joy and excitement, you’ll be thrilled to know that a teaser trailer is scheduled to drop on 6 October at New York Comic Con. If rumours are to be believed, the film will feature a plumbing song sung by Mario and Luigi. Seems plausible. Whilst we await the film, one fan has made something incredibly cursed.

Fancy playing Mario Kart in real life? Check out the trailer for Bowser's Challenge at Universal Studios Hollywood.

YouTuber Re-Imagined Games has added Chris Pratt into an Unreal Engine 5 hyper-realistic Super Mario Bros. Remake. It’s something that’s very, very cursed yet also looks incredible. The creator spent three-months alone getting the power-up system to work but it looks like the hard work was worth it. They note that there’s a few creases to iron out but the project certainly looks and functions like a Mario game. Take a look below.

Already, the creator has made three levels but doesn’t plan to stop there. Speaking about the project, they wrote, “I started to wonder what it would look like if Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, and Keegan-Michael Key were actually these characters in a realistic Mushroom Kingdom. That seemed like an incredibly fun idea, and that's why I'm attempting to make this game. With zero game development experience, I'm learning Unreal Engine from scratch and picking up any other skills that I can along the way, in an effort to make this a legitimately great action game!”

Zero experience? This is impressive work. Fans heaped praise on the creator. Randomuser wrote, “Absolute legend. Keep up the good work,” whilst Worthless Opinion added, “This looks so stunning. I actually want this game. Incredible work, man. Nintendo should legit hire you.” This is a project we’re excited to see unfold.
