'Skyrim' Player Follows Ulfric To High Hrothgar And Has The Adventure Of A Lifetime

If you're looking to spice up your life, just follow Ulfric Stormcloak.

We’ve all been there in an RPG when an NPC finishes their sentence and just... goes off to do something. Perhaps they’re excusing themselves to go to bed, or maybe they’re off to a meeting with their advisers. In Skyrim though, there is a moment when Ulfric Stormcloak agrees to go to the peace council at High Hrothgar and simply walks. He’s one of the most talked-about men in the country, and he just sets off on foot like it’s nothing. And apparently, if you follow him on this trek, he gets up to some mischief along the way.

One Reddit user has reported what happens when you follow Ulfric Stormcloak on his journey in the Season Unending questline. If you’ve got some spare time on your hands, you may as well work as Ulfric’s bodyguard as he goes to this incredibly important meeting. Marigoldsandviolets reported back that not only does he walk there, but he also murders people, gets into wild fights with bandits and doesn’t even take the shortest walk up to the mountain.

Here are some of our favourite Skyrim wins and fails...

The Redditor writes: “[Ulfric] fought *everything.* He yelled portentous and menacing taunts at every bear he came across, then shouted them down before he killed them. He ran back and fought all the bandits at Valtheim with me when they waylaid me (including falling off the big bridge and into the river and running BACK up to fight them some more, and then turning to me and saying with incredible seriousness, "I'll come to your peace conference, but I don't think you'll get much out of it" or whatever the line is, then turning around and heading back out on his journey.)”

But that’s not all. “He took the weirdest route I've ever seen (all the way around the foot of the mountain). When we walked through Riverwood he walked straight up to Alvor and killed him with no provocation, then fought all the guards in the town for like 20 minutes--it took him FOREVER to get past the boundary of where they stopped chasing him.”

Marigoldsandviolets seems to have had a wonderful time embarking on this adventure with Ulfric - they rate it “10/10 would recommend”. However, they did also try following Elisif and Tullius to the same meeting and got bored by their travels too. On my 324th replay of Skyrim, I may actually give this a go.
