Skyrim fans stunned by new secret after thousands of hours: 'I had no idea'

That makes things a bit easier

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim can be quite a peaceful game, especially if you spend your time leisurely exploring the beautiful landscape or strolling through bustling villages and cities.

However, throughout your time across Skyrim, you will probably be responsible for a murder or two and how you decide to kill your foes is almost always entirely up to you.

Check out the official trailer for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim below!

In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, you will probably be tasked with assassinating enemies, especially if you become a key member of The Dark Brotherhood.

However, sometimes you will need to assassinate targets for all the “right” reasons and that is definitely the case for Vittoria Vici who the Dragonborn is contracted to kill to pave the way for the assassination of the Emperor of Tamriel.

Tasked with killing her during her wedding in Solitude in the ‘Bound Until Death’ quest, how you choose to eliminate Vittoria is entirely up to you.

However, with a whole congregation of people, your best bet is trying to do it sneakily and some players have just discovered the ultimate way to remain unseen and get the job done.

This discussion kicked off over on r/skyrim when one player posted, “I've played this game for over 10+ years, countless playthroughs, 1000+ hours played and I had no idea this was here.”

They are referring to a ‘loose gargoyle’ which can be interacted with and luckily, it just so happens to be situated about Vittoria and her groom when they head onto the balcony for their wedding speech.

You see what I’m getting at here, right?

However, it seems as though this method of murder is easily missed.

User Crazy_names revealed that this is a common feature that Bethesda includes in its The Elder Scrolls series.

“Oblivion started this and Skyrim kind of continued it. Each of the major assassinations has a very clever way of killing the target if you explore and have good timing,” they shared.

Just be sure to interact with the loose gargoyle once more when the deed is done so you can hopefully escape without being seen. You’re welcome!
