For those Skyrim players who have been itching to return to the vibes of Oblivion, this new free quest may do exactly that.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has a special kind of nostalgia, in that it’s often fondly remembered by RPG fans who would have played the game 20 years ago, but also has the benefit of a decent remaster that came out a year ago.
Those who have played through Oblivion several times and want to take that into Skyrim can now do so thanks to this new mod from creator BaloneyPwn3.
Last week, we covered BaloneyPwn3’s Morrowind-inspired quest, 'Through Fire and War', and it seems they’re now back with a new mod that does a similar thing with a popular questline from Oblivion.

Titled 'Knight of a Worthy Heart', the quest is a continuation of events that occurred in one of Oblivion’s two expansions, Knights of the Nine.
Where that quest had you recovering relics of the Divine Crusader, which were scattered across Cyrodiil, Knight of a 'Worthy Heart' continues the storyline as it reaches Skyrim.
“25 Years Ago, The Divine Crusader, Sir Janus the Grey Knight and his Eight Companions died honourably on the field of battle,” reads the mod description.
“Yet whispers are told that the ghost of Janus still haunts Tamriel, crying for revenge! This mod adds the Ring of Sir Janus at the Chapel of Zenithar and a short quest to choose the fate of this artefact and the fate of the soul of the one who once wielded it!
The questline is short, but it has new voiced dialogue and acts as a Daedric quest for Jygalaag, the Gray Prince of Order. It’s also described as lore-friendly, so it shouldn’t interfere with any existing events that occur across The Elder Scrolls franchise.
There are several unique lines of dialogue which you can encounter, as well as multiple endings depending on your choices.
Meanwhile, the mod also adds a new artefact, the Ring of Sir Janus, which has two new enhancements for you to utilise. There’s also a new random encounter added, so it should be a good one to check out.
'Knight of a Worthy Heart' requires and uses Lorekeeper, a quest mod framework also created by BaloneyPwn3, which adds a new location, the Chapel of Zenithar, and is the home of the titular Lorekeeper, who can give you these new quests added to the game.

Skyrim mods like these help to keep the game alive while fans eagerly await The Elder Scrolls VI, which is still apparently in early development and hasn’t even had so much as a gameplay teaser beyond what we saw at E3 2018.
However, work on the upcoming sequel was put into motion following the release of Starfield in 2023, pointing to rumours that The Elder Scrolls VI may be readying up for a reveal in the near future.
