We inch closer towards The Elder Scrolls VI’s launch with each passing day, although it doesn’t exactly feel like it considering we’re still completely in the dark as to when it's set to arrive.
Todd Howard has taken to pretending the game doesn’t exist as he’s that tired of dodging questions following The Elder Scrolls VI’s announcement eight long years ago.

The Bethesda head honcho recently suggested the game is some way off, so you’re going to have to get your Elder Scrolls fill elsewhere.

As wonderful as Skyrim is, there are only so many times we can replay the vanilla base game, which is where ‘A Dark Warrior’s Tale’ comes into play,
‘A Dark Warrior’s Tale’ is a new mod from NexusMods user Kittytail that PC players of Skyrim can now download and enjoy.
The mod features a thrilling new quest where players will “learn what it means to be a Dark Warrior”, unlocking 13 new combat abilities along the way.
While the creator is keeping details of the quest under wraps, they have detailed that it’s recommended that you don’t embark upon it until you’re level 15.
In fact, it’s better if you’re at level 30 for the quest’s culmination. It can be started by reading the ‘local warning’ in Vilemr Inn, or by heading to the Iron Hollow Mine which is north of Ivarsead.
As for the new combat abilities, many of those are outlined on the mod’s listing.
There’s Dark Warrior, Vehemence, Soulrender, Bloodletter, Shadow Carve, Dark Deluge, Shadowbringer, Dusk Lacerator, Heavenfall, Eclipse, Voidcaller, and Vigilance.
That’s a pretty cool line-up of names.
Vigilance sounds very handy. It reads that “casting Dark Warrier with a weapon drawn will grant you immunity to 66% of incoming damage for six seconds”.
Voidcaller is pretty awesome too: “Blocking a hit while under 50% health will summon forth a Dark Warrior to fight at your side.”
It would be a shame to spoil every single new combat ability, so you’re free to peruse the mod’s listing if you want a full breakdown.
Despite being just a few days old, the mod is already proving a hit with players of Skyrim.
“This mod is sooo good,” remarked one player, while another added, “The most beautiful set of Dark Warrior abilities I have ever seen.”
One player even referred to modder Kittytail as “one of the best modders in the SFX and spells category”, so you know you’re in for a good experience.
The mod is completely free to download now from NexusMods and simply requires a working PC version of Skyrim.
