Naysayer will claim that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been well and truly combed over.

And while, yes, that may be partly true, it’s likely only true of the fandom as a collective.

You see, it’s certainly possible that between all of the game’s players, all of the title’s secrets have been found - although there’s no way to know for sure.

But as individual players? There’s no way we’ve seen everything.

So yes, if someone stumbles across something all these years later, it’s well worth celebrating - enlightening those who also didn’t happen to be in the know.

On this latest occasion, the Skyrim discovery concerns Hewnon Black-Skeever - a small-time bandit you’ll encounter near Riften.

Can you believe that The Elder Scrolls VI’s reveal trailer launched six years ago? Let’s hope an update isn’t too far away. We’ve waited long enough.

“I never knew?!” began Reddit user teddtoffee.

“When entering the Ratways in Riften for the first time, you’ll see two men scheming - but if you listen closely without getting caught, you’ll hear Hewnon doesn’t actually WANT to do it! If I kill the elf that was with him first, he’s chill af.”

“If you let him live, does he come back later?” one user asked in response.

“He just chills there. I think he lives in the Ratway somewhere,” added the OP.

“Next time, I'll give it a try,” added an equally unaware plantyplant559.

“What?!! They both always attack me on site! How do I get them to talk first?!” asked Hindsight2o2o.

To avoid that, you seemingly need to sneak around for a bit first, according to the OP.

It’s not a game-changing discovery, but it’s a bit of fun to have on your next playthrough.

And let’s face it, there will be another playthrough given how far away The Elder Scrolls VI is.
