Skyrim fans blown away by super secret loot we never knew existed

I've been in this room like eight times, and I never knew this was here

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim players have been discussing secret loot spots in the game, and Bethesda hid one of them so well that I can’t find a single video of it anywhere.

Over on the r/skyrim subreddit, one user pointed out a couple of cool loot locations that the majority of players seem to miss every single playthrough.

“So, one of the (thousands of) secrets only 1% of players know about…” commented user DCP23.

“There is an abandoned boat in the Karth river not far from Markarth filled with gems.”

Ok, so this one I did know about, and I have no idea how. I actually make a beeline for that chest every time I’m in Karth because it’s got a bunch of gems in it, so it’s a good source of money in the early game.

If you’re curious how to reach it yourself, I highly suggest checking out The Elder Scrolls Wiki page for An Abandoned Rowbot and commit its location to memory for your next playthrough.

This next secret location genuinely baffled me however, because I don’t think I’ve ever even heard of this one, much less spotted it for myself in the wild.

When will Bethesda unveil The Elder Scrolls VI?

“In the Midden, under the College of Winterhold, there is a room with ceiling beams. You may have passed through it on your way to the Atronach Forge hundreds of times,” DCP23 continued.

“Unbeknownst to most (and that includes both the UESP and the Wikia), on top of one of these ceiling beams and completely out of sight, stands a wooden bucket filled with ingots. You can't reach it, but you can jump and get a glimpse of it and then bring it down with a shout, and collect the ingots. There is also another, much better known secret in that same room.”

They are not kidding about this not being written down anywhere either, because I can’t find a single video referencing the bucket online.

I have found a bunch of other threads of people referencing its location however, so it seems like it is a legit thing. Kind of makes me want to fire up Skyrim again just to check, but… I should probably finish The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered first.
