It has been many years since Bethesda took to an E3 stage to reveal The Elder Scrolls VI was in production, with a teaser trailer that showed the game’s logo above a mysterious section of Tamriel.
Since then, we’ve heard practically nothing of the game as Bethesda cooks up the next instalment in the series, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating, talking about, and memeing on the game.
It's been seven years since this glimpse of The Elder Scrolls VI.
In those years since the trailer debuted, fans have pored over it in hopes of discovering something, anything, about the game.

It has been a source of inspiration for some time, and now, a Redditor has stepped up to the plate and remade that trailer, after 3D scanning it.
In their Reddit thread, they explained, “I fed the whole trailer as image sequences into Polycam App, and produced a Gaussian Splat Render.”
What emerged is a weird, unhinged, sequence of images that makes the world of Tamriel look like a glitch in the matrix, with the game’s logo looming over the land.
Of course, it’s all done with a little humour, and other Redditors saw the funny side of the attempt.

“Professional jobless behaviour - gotta love it LMAO,” joked PotatoEatingHistory.
Master7Drift said, “At this point, we can make our own Elder Scrolls VI.”
The trailer is a monstrous hodgepodge of images that feels like a fever dream, but at least the fans are keeping themselves busy, eh?
“Look what you’ve reduced us to, Bethesda,” exclaimed one fan.

“This makes me feel like a bum who’s grateful for the half can of cat food he finds in a dumpster,” remarks Quenzayne.
I really hope we get a full-on trailer this year, and it gives us something to get excited about.
The reception around the Oblivion remaster has been so enthusiastic, the scale of hype for The Elder Scrolls VI will be monumental.
