Skyrim’s biggest ever expansion proves this game will never die

It'll still be here long after The Elder Scrolls VI

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will never die, even when The Elder Scrolls VI comes out it’ll probably still have thousands of players.

Hell Skyrim might even outlive The Elder Scrolls VI at this rate, especially if the next game in the series doesn’t live up to all of the hype around it.

We’ll reserve judgement until we at least see the game though, as we’re still stuck with this damn teaser for the time being

If you’re looking for proof of why Skyrim will never die though look no further than the never-ending list of expansions created by fans.

When The Elder Scrolls VI does come out I guarantee there’ll be an expansion for Skyrim that recreates its map, or at least a portion of it.

The expansion we’re talking about today though is called Beyond Skyrim, one of the biggest we’ve ever seen as it adds a brand-new continent to the game.

It’s a collaboration between multiple modding teams, and it’s in pre-release right now so you can give part of it a go for yourself if you want to.

The mod’s description reads: “Travel beyond the borders of Skyrim and explore Bruma, the northernmost county in Cyrodiil. Delve into Ayleid ruins, meddle in local affairs or explore the wilds — the journey begins now.”

It’s not ending there though as the mod’s official page is also teasing other expansions, like one that’ll take us back to Morrowind.

An astonishing amount of work has gone into these mods, and every Skyrim player on PC needs to give them a go.

There are plenty of other expansions out there that are worth your time too, so be sure to shop around on NexusMods to see what you fancy.

Now we wait for the launch of The Elder Scrolls VI, because you just know the modding community is going to go crazy with it.
