Spoiler warning: this article contains spoilers for the fifth episode of She-Hulk. If you’ve not already seen it, go get yourself caught up first. Or not. I don’t make the rules.
Yesterday’s episode of She-Hulk was, as always, a fun one. Alongside Jennifer Walters’ legal battle against influencer Titania, who had copyrighted the name She-Hulk in order to sell a line of beauty products, Jen’s best friend and paralegal Nikki set out to get her large green pal a superhero suit of her own with the help of Augustus Pugliese. Pug revealed that he has a huge collection of superhero shoes and wanted Nikki’s help to get himself two pairs of the new ‘Iron Man Threes’, which she agreed to do on the promise that he hooks her up with his “drip broker” in order to get Jen a suit.
Take a look at the trailer for She-Hulk below.
Although we unfortunately don’t get to see Pug's collection properly, those who stuck around for the credits were treated to an illustrated reveal which is packed full of references to MCU legends (thanks, Inverse). Alongside the Captain Marvel, Spider-Man and Moon Knight shoes, eagle-eyed fans may have noticed Deadpool make an appearance - albeit in footwear form. Take a look below: they’re on the right, just below the Captain America shoes.
Although he’s not there in person, this is kind of Deadpool’s first appearance in the MCU since Disney acquired 21st Century Fox in 2019. Unless we’re counting the video featuring Thor’s chunky friend, Korg, in which the two react to the Free Guy trailer, but this is pretty exciting since it's within a MCU series. Of course, everyone’s favourite merc with a mouth will also be getting his own MCU film, Deadpool 3, sometime soon.
