The hype around GTA VI is at the point where anything Rockstar does, whether it directly relates to the game or not, is under scrutiny. Whether it be a tiny passing comment from one of the studio's senior figure, or an equally tiny detail in one of the game's two trailers, players are absolutely clinging on to scraps at this point.
So when the official Rockstar Games UK & Ireland page posted a brand new trailer on 13 October, it was understandable that many quickly clicked on the video to see exactly what the developer wanted to share. Unfortunately for them, it had absolutely nothing to do with the upcoming release.
Instead, the trailer is simply titled "Experience Grand Theft Auto Online" and it's a call to action to get people onto GTA V's multiplayer modes, even bizarrely ended with a card confirming that it's "available now" (and you really would have to be living under the world's largest rock to not know that.
Even more weirdly, they have since unlisted the video and you can only access it for a watch if you already have the link. Whether that's because it just seems totally out of place, particularly given that it's not introducing a new mode or event, is unclear, but fans were certainly not reserved in sharing their feelings on the matter.

"Guys lets just pretend we're in 2013 and this is brand new to us," one comment read.
"A GTA Online trailer??? 12 years... I was 9 when this came out, played day 1 and now I'm in a s***ty job waiting for VI and you waste my break with this?" another added.
Others just took the opportunity to complain about the current state of GTA Online when it presented itself, with one saying, "Fix your infinite black screens and the heists. I can't do the Casino Diamond Heist and the Cayo Perico with bro. Someone is always disconnected."
Though we aren't in the business of speculation, the release of the video likely comes down to one of two things. Either Rockstar wanted to give players a little reminder about GTA Online, to get as much out of its remaining time in relevance. Or it was simply a mistake, and unlisting it was their way of addressing that.

In any case, until people get their hands on GTA VI and it's everything they want it to be, they are going to get complaints regardless of what else they do.
