Earning in-game money can sometimes be just as challenging as earning it in real life but one lucky Grand Theft Auto Online player has managed to bag themselves a whopping $10,000,000 with absolutely no effort at all.
There is no denying that being able to thrive in the streets of Los Santos means that you need to have quite a bit of money in the bank, especially if you want to splash the cash on cars, guns, and properties.
However, much like in real life, you have to work for it and it can take quite some time to earn large quantities of money in Grand Theft Auto Online.
Although the same cannot be said for one lucky player who was recently awarded a massive $10,000,000 by Rockstar Games itself.

“As a gesture of good will and in recognition of your valued status as a player, we’re pleased to inform you that GTA$10,000,000 has been credited to your account as a one-time accommodation,” the email sent to Reddit user bas3adi read.
So how did this happen?
Well, it seems as though the user over on r/gtaonline had simply reported a glitch to Rockstar’s support services and as a result, they were compensated massively.
If only it was that easy in real life.

It is unclear what the specific glitch was but it seems as though the user provided images as evidence and so it was enough for Rockstar to take action.
However, it seems as though reporting glitches in order to try and bag some free virtual cash is not new for GTA Online players.
So much so that Rockstar has even been known to permanently ban players who take advantage of this method.
“My brother started his account back in 2013, and would play it with me, but anyway he bought a vehicle, customised it and then went back the next day and it wasn't there,” one user explained.

“Contacted support they refunded him, he had another problem a month or so later and did the same thing, they refunded. Well he needed money and made something up and got his account wiped.”
Other users report coming across legitimate glitches, reporting them and hearing nothing back from Rockstar so it seems as though earning yourself $10,000,000 is not always guaranteed.
Nevertheless, it is still worth reporting any bugs and glitches you come across in GTA Online.
Not only may you be rewarded some compensation but it will help Rockstar not make the same mistakes in Grand Theft Auto VI’s online component when it launches next year.
