If you’re a fan of horror games that explore the depths of the ocean, then look no further than the upcoming, Deep Dark Sea.

There are many fears in life from creepy crawlies, heights, the supernatural or even birds and much more. So if you’re a fan of horror, then there’s bound to be something that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up such as the indie horror that is the subject of today’s story.

Check out the Bloodborne trailer below!

Deep Dark Sea not only looks to be inspired by Bloodborne and Subnautica but also by Dead Space and the writings of H.P. Lovecraft. There’s not much information on the horror game at this time but we do know that Deep Dark Sea is being powered by Unreal Engine 5.

As reported by 80lv and shared in a Reddit post, horror fans will be able to “explore the eerie sea floor and battle gigantic creatures in the Deep Dark Sea.” This indie horror game will be developed by the relatively unknown studio, Corncrow Games.

Corncrow Games has developed a few indie titles in the past but has also supported Electronic Arts with franchises such as Battlefield and Star Wars Battlefront. It’s worth keeping in mind that Deep Dark Sea is in the very early stages of development so there is no release date at this time.

That being said, if you’re a fan of thalassophobia-inspired horror games, then Deep Dark Sea might be worth having on your radar or on the flip side, thalassophobia sufferers may want to avoid this game altogether.

As always, we’ll keep you posted should new information drop to the bottom of the ocean on this promising indie horror title. Though I wouldn't hold your breath hoping that details will arrive anytime soon.
