Tonight is the Summer Game Fest 2025 and although Resident Evil 9 has not yet been showcased, this upcoming body-horror filled horror game is enough to make the wait that much easier.
ILL is an upcoming narrative-driven first-person survival horror game by Team Clout and will see players transported to a sinister settlement where they will face a growing horror.
Featuring a whole lot of body horror, blood, and even a flying baby, ILL is guaranteed to keep the Resident Evil fans happy as we wait for Capcom to announce the highly-anticipated entry.

“Unleash your survival instincts. Step into the sinister settlement, face a growing horror and uncover the unsettling truth behind its descent into madness. Are you ready to confront your deepest fears?” the official Steam synopsis reads, where the game is now available to add to your wishlist.
If you are a horror fan, then you will love ILL as some of its creators have previously worked on some iconic horror movies such as Longlegs, Until Dawn, and IT: Welcome to Derry.
With an eerie, atmospheric story to uncover, players will immerse you in a tense narrative at a huge research fort.
Whilst here, they will need to find the source of the evil Abberations who stand in the way of the player and their survival.

However, ILL will push the limits of gore and body horror by allowing the player to ceaselessly main and murder the monsters who hunt them down.
“Shredded flesh, exposed bones, and eviscerated carcasses will make an unprecedented impression and shock you to the core. The binaural audio system amplifies the emotional impact, allowing you to feel the agony in every scream.”
Luckily, you will be armed to the teeth with weapons capable of taking these enemies down but with the monsters capable of unexpected actions, you will need to stay on your toes if you wish to make it out alive.
ILL has not yet received an official release date but if you are a fan of horror and Resident Evil, you will want to add this one to your wishlist now.
