Resident Evil fans are eager to see what’s in store for the future, after the runaway success of the last two games in the franchise, and developer Capcom’s current winning streak that includes Street Fighter 6 and Monster Hunter Wilds.
While eyes are on the next instalment of the Resident Evil series, many are also hoping that another remake is on the cards, though nobody can decide on which game deserves the spotlight.
Do you want a Resident Evil 5 remake next?
Many believe that Resident Evil 5 is next on the cards, which makes sense after the fourth game was so lovingly recreated.

Personally, I’d love to see this as I’ve got a soft spot for the fifth game after speedrunning it for some time, but others are focusing on the overlooked iterations.
“I want a Code Veronica remake first though after the eventual RE9, that way we give a RE5 remake time to breathe,” said janoDX over on Reddit.
The Code Veronica spin-offs were initially successful, though held back slightly by platform exclusivity, and since then they’ve slipped off the radars of most.
“I have such fond memories of Code Veronica and Dreamcast in general. I can’t for the life of me remember what Code Veronica is about, but I’m down for a remake, comments seekrump-offerpickle.

Some are on the side of the fifth game, claiming that it could be a huge success.
“Did RE4 need a remake? No, yet we got one of the best remakes for a legendary game. I want a remake of RE5,” says iV1rus0.
Another fan mentions the sixth game, which most believe is perhaps the worst of the bunch. They said, “I hope they do a remake of 5, it was a lot of fun. I think they could also do a pretty good revisit to 6 if they change a few things.”
As long as the remakes remain popular, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Capcom slowly get through all the games.
